I do not like Snow Birds. While I wish I could afford to be one, to have a home in the Midwest and one in Arizona, I cannot. Being a full time resident and home owner in Arizona, I do not like when all the Snow Birds ascend upon us. The best time to live in Arizona is fall and winter, which is the time the Snow Birds come here. They add to traffic, make it take longer to get anywhere. They create longer lines in the stores, and the HOA Boards act like they are gods. There are many more activities and things to do planned during the time when they Snow Birds are here. This year the Canadian have been selling their homes here, from what I hear, so not sure how much of an impact this will have next season.
